men's
health
Firstly, men DO have a pelvic floor. Following surgery for prostatectomy (prostate cancer), as high as 70% of men will suffer with urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. 10-20% of men with no prostate problems will have symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction and over active bladder symptoms. All of the above are symptoms which can be treated with Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy.
I offer pre-op appointments whilst you are awaiting your prostate surgery which help you prepare for your rehabilitation or alternatively, post operative appointments to help with male pelvic floor symptoms of incontinence, bowel dysfunction, overactive bladder, erectile dysfunction and sexual dysfunction.
If you are suffering with chronic prostatitis (not related or related to your prostate), there are lots that Physiotherapy can do to help this so please don't suffer in silence.
