caesarean
scar pain
Our role with this management is to observe the scar area(s) for healing, assess your pelvic floor/abdominal muscles, teach you appropriate massage to break down scar tissue ( if appropriate), and tailor an appropriate treatment plan to ensure you heal appropriately and effectively. It is hard enough having a little baby to look after and even harder when you are still in pain with general weight baring, sitting etc. Again, this is such a taboo area to discuss but it is so important for your overall recovery following your delivery.
A really effective treatment at breaking down stubborn scar tissue is scar tissue acupuncture. We can discuss this if deemed appropriate upon assessment.
